A Forest Being Born Again

Restoration in Action — Visitors Welcome

Green Hill Wildlife Tours is a restored farm in Bijagua de Upala that began its forest restoration journey in 2022. Nestled in Alajuela's rich biological corridor, the property sits where distinct ecosystems converge, drawing a remarkable variety of wildlife as the forest steadily returns. Every tour here is also a window into active conservation.

Wonderful accessible place to see wildlife (Tapirs, sloths, and more) with an excellent guide, idyllic setting, and truly feeling like you are part of nature. Perfect for kids and older folks.

Today I did some birdwatching. I was super quick, but you can see hummingbirds and other species. I didn't do the whole tour, but the trails are wonderful, very beautiful, and they're also accessible for people with disabilities.
